Closed-mold process in which resin is injected between a mold and a counter-mold. This method stands out for its high production rate, consistent part thickness, and ability to deliver an excellent surface finish on both sides of the part.
LRTM Process
Liquid gelcoat is sprayed into the mold and counter-mold
Fiber layers are placed in the mold and counter-mold to form the future part
The mold and counter-mold are assembled to create the cavity of the future part
Resin is injected into the assembled mold and counter-mold to create the part
A chemical reaction converts the resin from a liquid to a solid state
6. The finished part is removed from the mold
